Tyler/Blottoed-Yeah, that didn't take did it. I assume I unzip the files first like with any others? Then run the unzipped files thru the decoder?

yes. for the show, there is a single flac .zip file ... unzip that first. then take all the .flac files taht are insde that zip and do the above with the frontend .. it should work ... what show / link are you working with, in case there is a problem with the files that they are corrupted.

I'm downloading a UMelt and Scarecrow Collectin show off this site. My guess is there is nothing wrong with the file. There was only one download choice-flac- otherwise I would have reverted back to shn or even vbrmp3. Thanks again for the assistance. Hope to be jammin later tonight.

if you have the NERO burnprogram you don't have to decode, the program will do it for you.
just drag them from your file into the program and burn

I do have Nero, but when I tried to Add the files to burn it said they were unsupported(maybe not the right wordage)like if you tried to add a file without unzipping it. I did get the files into the flac frontend box(thanks Tyler/Blottoed) but when I hit the decode button, it said flac.exe not found. I see flac frontend.exe which is what I open to get the flac frontend box tp open to add files to in order to decode, but I don't see flac.exe I'm open to suggestions, but if you are doing thru Nero 6plus tell me more. Thanks as always in advance.

I do have nero version 6, I try to explain ('cause I'm Dutch and I have the Dutch version)you go (open)to cd make an audio cd, above on the right side there's a button to drop in, then there's a window where you can browse where your flac files are , if you see them you click once (highlite it=blue) and on the bottom you choose all formats(wave, wav) and you click on the button to insert, then highlight the second and insert etc. etc. when you did all the files you click the button next to insert (finished) then there opens a new window where you can select the burningspeed and then you must click on "leave out the 2 seconds between the songs"button and burn
i'll hope I did help you,good luck

Cool to see the Dutch represented! I tried this approach which has alwys worked in the past, but I get an error message saying the files are not supported. Oddly, I get the same message when I add compressed shn files, but the songs still wind up in the Add box. I will try adding the Nero addition the other posting mentioned, sounds like it might do the trick. So, being the typical uninformed person, are you emailing from the Netherlands? My only recent association with the Dutch is from watching Austin Powers dvds with my daughter (as in "I don't speak no freaky deaky Dutch"). Nothing personal!!!

I only know for about a few weeks how it works.
in Nero you can see if flac is supported you can look by formats (which i mentioned in the last post) you can browse and then there must be mp5 or flac.
and yes i'm born and raised in holland, you're so lucky overthere with a hugh amount of GOOD music from bands that never come to holland accept for bluestraveler a real long time ago, this way is the closest i can get to the real thing
Drop me a mail if you like
goodluck

The Flac.exe file you need is available here. http://cyberial.com/flacinstaller.asp the main site is http://flac.sourceforge.net/index.html The files should be extracted/installed to the same folder as your flac frontend (the frontend acts as a GUI for the actual flac program). From here you can reencode the files as .WAV's and use those in Nero. There is also a FLAC plugin for Nero available here (this will allow you to drag and drop the FLAC files directly into a Nero cue-sheet). http://neroplugins.cd-rw.org/files/nxmyfla.zip G'luck s1n1k p.s. Noticed the attach files option so I went ahead and attached the Flac-Nero plugin. Just happened to Stumble upon this site thanks to the Stumble extension for Firefox it's a great plugin and available here https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&version=1.0&os=Windows&numpg=10&id=138 (hours of enjoyment out of this)

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot tonight. Have afine Friday. Tyler had offered yesterday to check the show to make sure the file was not corrupt, so if one of the helpful moderators wants to check it ,the show was Scarecrow Collection 7/16/04 Gathering of the Vibes. My guess it is a user error, but if its corrupt I would appreciate knowing. Thanks all-later.
